In Arizona last year we set up our blind on the edge of a large open meadow. We had your Elk Decoy setting about 35 yards off to the side of us, right at the edge of the timber. While cow calling, a cow elk come out to the middle of the meadow and bedded down. We continued cow calling and shortly after heard a bull bugling coming though the trees on the opposite of the meadow.

As the 7x6 bull come into the clearing bugling he spotted the decoy and the bedded cow, he couldn't make up his mind which way to go, he kept looking at the cow then the decoy, he finally went to the bedded cow. The cow didn't seem to be interested so we cow called again and here he come, he crossed our path 30 yards out heading for the decoy. Well you know the rest. the bull died about a hundred yards from our blind. What a awesome decoy!!
