Jeff Shannon Attached are a few photos of the caribou decoy in action this fall, as well a photo of the largest bull we took with the decoy... A 370", double-shoveled bull that my father-in-law shot. There's no doubt in my mind that the only reason we were able to harvest that bull (as well as his smaller companion) was because of the decoy. We inadvertently spooked those two bulls at about 600 yards and they ran off to over 1000 yards before stopping to look back. After a short look at the decoy they decided to walk right back to us. My wife's 91-year old great grandfather was also able to harvest his first caribou after we used the decoy as our only cover to crtoss 500 yards of wide open tundra. There's no question that the decoy was a real asset in that wide open Northern Alaska tundra. Jeff Shannon Kyle Hudgins Used it hunting Mountain Caribou in the NWT. My buddy killed a good one and the decoy was instrumental in getting the shot. I'll send you a picture. Thanks. PS- we will be using it on 3 caribou hunts this year and 1 in 2013. Kirk Anderson Just wanted to let you know that your caribou and moose decoys really worked for us. We took a trip to Newfoundland and used them during the caribou rut. We saw only a few bulls, but when we set the decoy up one of the bulls came in five or six times. We were in extremely high winds so had a hard time getting a shot with the bow, but the bull I got with the rifle came by at less than ten yards trailing a cow a couple of days later(didn't have the bow that day). We gave the guides a moose and caribou decoy as part of their tip and they were very excited and were definitely sold on them as well. Just wanted to let you know how well they worked and thank you for making a great product. Kirk Anderson |
