| Tim Delarm, Executive Producer Alaska Outdoors Television Funny story. Last season our transporter was flying us into our Alaska moose hunt location, and on the way in he had to pick up some other hunters meat. Coming in we spotted what was a good size cow from above, and couldn't figure out why the hunters were just standing around nearby. Well, it was a Montana moose decoy! Hence, my first introduction to Montana Decoys. Tim Delarm Jeff Amerson Hello, my name is Jeff Amerson and this past September I took this 60 inch bull with my bow. I just wanted to write and let you know that the Montana Cow Moose Decoy totally had them fooled. I shot my bull at 33 yards and he still couldn't figure out what was going on, we watched him go down 60 yards away. Thanks for providing such a good product. Jeff Amerson George Brush Sorry but I forgot in my excitement of course to take a picture with your MT decoy. He did lock on it and I was able to put an arrow through both lungs at 22 yards. ,br> Thanks again for expediting my order and getting it to me in time to take it to Canada. I had it set up in the clear cut area behind me. He came out of this timber and walked out into the clear cut looking at Miss Mangy what we named her, and did not even notice me sitting in the wide open area. Thanks again. Happy Hunter George Brush John Leppington From the time of my first call till I shot the bull was an hour and ten minutes. It came into less than 5 yards from me but I could not shoot as I would only get 1 lung shooting straight down. It was focused right on the decoy. John Leppington Garth Thompson I just wanted to express my thanks for a quality (and effective!) product. I just got back from my annual moose hunt in Alaska. In years past, I've had problems with big bulls "hanging up" at the edge of the brush, too leary to step out. Well, this year I purchased your moose decoy to help solve this problem. The bull paused only momentarilly at the edge of the woods, but then stepped right out in the open when he saw the decoy! It was a quick 75 yard shot for a clean kill. I won't ever hunt moose again without having the decoy along. Thanks! Garth Thompson Jerry Pollen My buddy Jeff recently ordered the cow moose decoy just in time for the late season archery hunt in interior Alaska this November. I had a cow tag for the area, and on the last day of the season we found a large cow moose feeding in some willows at first light. Jeff took his decoy and got down level with the moose and started working his way in on her. I worked the willows to the left of Jeff while the moose stood cautiously watching us. She spooked a couple of times, but with some cow moans and bull grunts, she would stop and look back. Eventually she went back to feeding, but for the most part kept an eye on the decoy, and occasionally looked up in my direction. Jeff noticed that the decoy was facing my direction, so he flipped it around facing the other way. Sure enough the old cow looked back at the decoy, then the opposite direction. I was able to sneak through the willows to an opening at 30 yards and let an arrow fly right behind her shoulder. We wouldn't of gotten that moose without the decoy as she wanted to bust out of there, but if it looks like a moose and sounds like a moose... what do you do? We estimated the weight of this cow around 1100 pounds, and put over 500 pounds in the freezer after processing her. Thank you Montana Decoy for such a great product! Im impressed with the quality of the decoy, and plan to take one into the moose woods with me every time I go. I can only imagine how fun it will be to play with a rut crazed bull with this decoy! Jerry Pollen Tony Dawson Your're not gonna believe this...!!! One hour after setting up the moose decoy, and starting to call, I had big bull moose on the ground!! Came to the decoy like he was on a wire. At one point in the approach, he spotted part of my airplane in the distance...and hung at about 100 yards. One soft little cow call...back on track, and walked right up to his new 2-dimensional girlfriend. When she didn't respond, he turned broadside and took an arrow at 26 yards. I'm flabbergasted! and smiling so big it hurts! Best, Tony Dawson |
