D.J. grew up in a hunting, fishing, outdoors loving family and tries to pass those traditions on to his own family and anyone else that shows an interest. His love of the outdoors covers most aspects but his true passion is for bowhunting. His bowhunting career started with his first bow in 1979 and continues to expand every year..
Successes include many whitetails and turkeys as well as antelope, bear, moose and pheasant. Hopefully many years and many more successes are in the future.
D.J. actively works with new bowhunters to help them get started in the sport. Whether on his home archery range or at official group functions he is always ready to "Pass It On". He is a certified archery instructor for 4-H and NASP He is also an active member of NWTF, RMEF, P&Y, North Dakota Bowhunters Association and the National Mule Deer Foundation. He also serves on the prostaff for Montana Decoy and for Mossy Oak.
