JASON GLEN SANFORD, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA

Jason has been hunting ever since he was 5 years old. He started out with the normal routine with getting to the woods with his Father and Grandfather going on trips in the deep woods of Nova Scotia, weather it be a hike or camping trip, or hunting and fishing. After getting his first BB gun he never looked back and moved on from there.

He enjoys mostly getting youth and disadvantaged people envolved in the outdoors whenever he can but most importantly spending time with his daughter Madison and passing on the great North American tradition of hunting and fishing.

He is now a Professional hunting guide and field/pro-staffs for Plano Molding,
Therma Cell, Hunter Safety System, Mossy Oak and most recently Montana Decoy. People often ask Jason how he has come so far in the industry and his reply is always the same. Put your family first, stay true to yourself, make good choices and good, will always follow and sometimes a little bit of persistence and luck you can take you far.

Never forget your roots, and always take the time to help others along the way whenever you can as that will help you remain humble and keep yourself grounded, as we all got our start with a lot of hard work and big dreams and help from others and always stay loyal to the ones who have helped you along the way.

Jason always keeps an open mind and respects other hunters that cross his path and never let's on his status in the industry unless he is recognized by other hunters and enjoys just being one of the boys.

At times whenever possible in the woods, and quite often will come home with a almost empty backpack as he is known to share the blessings he has received and give to younger hunters that are just starting.

This past fall in 2010 he came across a 16 year old boy out hunting with his Dad and told him about a nice 150 class buck he was after and the boy actually shot that buck not far from where he was himself.

It was that boys first deer and the memories of that day in November will last a lifetime. On the drive home Jason knew he did the right thing as that is what true sportsmanship is about and what was taught to him by his Father and Grandfather, that is what hunting and fishing is all about regardless of ones status.
