Would like to report that I harvested a 7 point in Georgia first morning. The decoys worked great.

I had a 6 point come to the decoys and watched him for 20 minutes walk around them and stomped his hoofs, he then turned away and then behind me came the seven point.

He leaped the fence and came within ten foot of the doe when I shot him. It was amazing to watch..

As an avid whitetail deer bowhunter I was tired of call-weary bucks hanging up outside of bow-range. The Montana Decoys are the easiest, most effective decoy I have found to bring deer into range and hold their attention so I can draw my bow.

The Montana Decoys pack easily into my backpack and can be set up in less than a minute giving me an edge on the game I pursue.

Dan Bartos
My name is Dan Bartos I am 45 and have hunted most of my life. I grew up in Alaska so I never go the opportunity to hunt whitetail deer. My family and I moved to South Dakota a few years ago and I began trying to archery hunt whitetails last season.

I shot two nice doe last year and wanted to get a buck this season. I did aton of off season research and decided I wanted to try using a decoy some of the time this year. I purchased the Montana Buck Decoy and took it out with me to try. I put it in front of my ground blind and did some calling and ratteling but nothing came.

With the end of the hunting light comming on fast I made a bold move, I had seen some bucks chasing doe up the ctearing from me abour 450yrds and they were still there. The deer were also up wind of me so I decided to leave the shelter of my blind and pull my decoy. I gripped both legs in one hand and my bow in the other and proceeded to move across the clearing to the woods on the other side using the decoy as a sort of shield.

I got to the woods and the deer had not busted me so I moved forward in about 15yrd increments up to 50yrds when one buck turned and notice the decoy in a big way. I gave a couple soft grunts and a short growl and he came at me puffed up,ears back, ready to fight. I hid behind the decoy and just peaked out ever so often to see what he was doing.

I figured he would turn away and then back in to confront the intruder head on and give me a shot at some point...I was wrong. He stayed on course and closed the distance to 15yrds, at this point I figured I better draw, and I did. This was very difficult as I had to do it with my bow severely canted, almost laying on the ground so as not to get caught. I took another peek and he was right on me, I quicly aimed beside his sternum and let go. The distance was 3yrds.

After dark I began to follow the short but massive trail to my first ever buck! I feel I owe a great deal of the success of this hunt to your amasing decoy, Thank You so much.

I had purchased a doe decoy to experiment with. I was amazed at the response I received from other deer from the first time I used it. That first day a young buck almost ran me over to check it out. To be honest though, I had my doubts the first time I pulled it from the package!

On this day I had it set on a food plot on January 14th, our rut here, in Central Alabama. One nice buck came into the other end of hte plot, looked at the decoy and proceeded to graze. I continued to bleat and grunt about every 20 minutes. An hour before dark a buck came in on a string to the decoy, I took him at 20 yards.

Out of about 8 hunts with the decoy, there was not a time when it was used that didn't bring deer in. Even does. I had always heard that bucks would approach a decoy from the rear. But every deer that came into mine circled to come in nose to nose. Thanks for helping me get my best buck to date in 20 years of bow hunting.

I wanted to share a success story with you that is entirely due to your decoys. I spent November 14-18 bowhunting the whitetail rut in NW Montana. I had a blast, the bucks were on their feet moving around looking for does. I saw a lot of bucks and a couple real big ones.

The property I was hunting was a small tract of river bottom that bordered a big private ranch. The deer were bedding and spending most of the day on the bordering proberty so I set up my stand close to the border in a probable crossing point.

I rattled and called in several bucks to the dividing line which was a railroad track. When they got to the railroad track which was about 80 yards away, they stood there looking for the deer that were making all of the noise, when they saw nothing back into the brush they went. It was the perfect set up!

The evening of the third night I set up the decoys (buck and doe) in a spot they could easily be seen. As evening came I again rattled up a couple different bucks, this time they saw what they were looking for and over the fence they came. Although I didn't get one of the big boys, I did shoot a nice buck, it definitely got my heart pumpin. If it wasn't for the decoys, I probably would have left empty handed. Great Product!!

My name is Al Steiner. My son James shot his first whitetail buck a 4x4 in a setup using your whitetail doe decoy. We used some estrus scent as well. The buck charged in like a freight train, making more racket than I have ever heard in the woods before.

He didn't care WHO heard him! Anyway, he jumped the fence and stopped about 25 yards from the decoy, presenting a nice broadside shot. James hit him, and he piled up about 75 yards later. At the check station he was estimated to be about 6 years old, which means he has been around awhile but was still fooled.
Thanks,

Al Steiner

On the first evening of hunting Tim had an encounter with "The Freak" as he ran into 60 yards but he was not able to get a shot at this Kansas monster.

The following evening hunt Tim arrowed his Kansas ten pointer at only nine yards as he hunted along a creek bottom. One of the most impressive features of this buck is his live weight of 266 pounds!!

Thought you might find this interesting... My son killed his second buck in two years using one of your decoys, but we use them a little differently....

We don't use them to get a buck to come in close, we use them to stalk prairie bucks. Often times these bucks will get out in the middle of the wide open spaces and lay down. It's nearly impossible to get up on them. We have found getting beind one of your decoys and walking directly at a buck to be very effective. They pay no attention to us whatsoever. I carried the decoy and my son walked behind me. We walked up to within 200 yards of the buck and he paid no attention to us whatsoever (as well as the doe and a smaller buck he was with)

As a matter of fact he layed down and we had to wait about half hour for him to stand up!! My son did the same exact thing last year and killed a nice 5x4.

I would just like to say that your decoys are great. I am attaching a photo of a 140" Pope & Young buck I took with the help of your whitetial buck decoy on October 21. Last night 11-5-06 I was using your whitetail doe decoy and had another nice buck (est. 130-150") come into bow range. While I was unable to get a clear shot at the buck and let him walk, I believe the decoy helped bring him into range. I congradulate you on your fine prducts. Thanks again for your product. I am letting all bowhunters I know, that your decoy WORKS!

I purchased one of your doe white tail decoys this past November after reading a article in F & S and it was nothing short of amazing! The same day I took my first 8 point with my bow at 20 yards. It did not even concern itself with my wherabouts and just came right to the decoy and even tried to mount it! ( a little doe heat may have helped!)

At that range if I look back at it after a while it even startled me. It is so life like. Two weeks later I set it out again at another farm I hunt and took a P & Y eight point at 5 feet! These are my first large deer with a bow and no way have gotten them without your product. Thank you,

John Johnson

Hi, I ordered your standard deer decoy last year and was astounded by the results of my first hunt using the decoy. I purchased my first bow last year in order to extend my hunting season in this area (eastern N.C.).

After having my Mathews Icon set up at a local pro shop with a few basic pointers I began practicing at home. After about 5 weeks, the season came in and I was feeling proficient enough with my bow to try hunting with it. As a gun hunter of many years I began thinking of the number of shots that I had been presented with that would have been possible to make with a bow. They were few and far between indeed.

As I began to contemplate and research ways to shorten the distance of any shot I might be presented with, I ran across an ad for your decoy and knew I was onto something. I ordered one and after it arrived in a couple of days, I proceeded to try it out. I had a spot less than 1/2 mile from my house that I had just obtained permission to hunt and had already completed a quick scouting trip.

I arrived at my chosen ambus site one afternoon a couple of hours before dark and put my plan into action. I had chosen as my stand site, an overgrown cedar tree which was about 40 yards from a trail entering a fallow field. The cedar tree was about 20 feet tall, very large in diameter and had limbs all the way to the ground. I quickly cleared out a couple of sight/shooting lanes from the lower branches nad placed my decoy about 20 yards out in front of me in line with the trail coming out of the woods. There was a slight breeze that day and I anticipated that any deer exiting the trail would spot the decoy and approach from the downwind side where I already had a place cleared to shoot through. The cedar tree was a great find because I knew it would provide my cover scent.

About 20 minutes before dark, a large doe entered the field using the trail and immediately spotted my decoy. Her reaction was immediate. She lowered her head and stomped her foot to show her displeasure at this intruder. When the decoy did not respond, (smile) she did exactly as I had anticipated and tried to circle downwind of this stranger to get some clue as to what was going on. Her path brought her within 18 yards of my stand and my shot was true.

After being struck through both lungs with a 100 gr. Muzzy Broadhead she traveled a few yards down the field edge and expired. I will never forget the excitement of this first bow kill and the rewarding sound of that arrow striking home. I used this same setup with alomst the exact same results a few days later but passed on that shot because I heard a buck grunt in the woods behind the doe that came out on that occasion. Unfortunately, he never made an apperance. Thanks for the memories and a great product.

Hello, I just wanted to let you know I finally purchased one of your whitetail decoys. It worked perfect it's first day out. I took a nice 5 poointer. It's not a wall hanger, but it's a trophy to me, and my freezer's full. I look forward to using it next archery season. Hopefully the buck will be bigger. You have a wonderful prduct. I was very pleased with the quality and packability. Thank You,

Just a little note to let you know that I am thourghly amazed at the way my decoy performed this past archery season. It actually pulled an 11 point buck off the tail of a live doe that he was chasing about 70 yards from my stand when he looked over and saw the decoy he left that live doe and came right over to he decoy 10 yards from me and went to sniff her tail and as they say the rest was history. I will admit that I was a little bit sceptical at first but after seeing it it was just unbelievable. Thank You

Just wanted to share my experiene the very first time I used a Montana Decoy. First, let me preface by stating that I had previously purchased a life-size, 2D deer decoy and proceeded to use it.... exactly ONE TIME! It was big, bulky, a PAIN to carry... but most of all NOISY! I subsequently returned it the next day.

A year or so passes and I see your product. After reading an article about decoying which field tested several different manufactures. Yours sounded great, but I admit I was EXTREMELY skeptical.

My very first time in the filed with one, I had two different does walk within 40- 50 yards of my position. They proceeded to stomp, snort and generally carry on at the "unfriendly" doe (without having ANY idea I was there!!) before eventually, blowing and leacing post haste. I chalked this up to lack of movement (I hoped) and stayed put.

Not 30 minutes later, THREE bucks appeard! Upon seeing the decoy, two of the bucks started a little "skirmish" and they began sparring back and forth in the field 100 yards out. The third however headed STRAIGHT down the fence row my direction! After a considerable time torn between watching two magnificiant bucks fighting and watching the third slowly make his way towards me ( I thought he had detoured and skirted me) he pops over a knoll not 30 yards from me!

He was SO focused and intent on the "doe" he walked within 10 feet of my position (AND I was sitting on the GROUND...NOT in a treestand!) In fact, he was SO close I had to wait until he walked away a little before I could draw my bow.

FINALLY, I drew and shot when he was approximately 6-8 yards away!! The pass through shot was so quick, he did not do the characteristic "death run" but instead, ran 18 yards, turned and looked at the "doe" as if to say..."What the HECK was that!" He fell about 5 seconds later! While certainly not he biggesst buck I have taken (field dressed at 180# maybe score 100 - 120 it was BY FAR one of the MOST exciting hunts EVER!! THANK YOU!!!

I look forward to using your product to help lure anohter one or two in close this year for my three sons! Best Regards,

Frank Holz

I recently bought your whitetail deer doe decoy. I set up on the edge of a bean field and woodlot and had a 6 point come the first evening. I decided to pass on this buck since I had already taken a doe a few days earlier for the freezer.

I left the decoy overnight and hunted the stand the following morning. Just after first light I had an 8 point come and proceed directly to the decoy. I took him at 12 yards in route to the decoy. Hes now in the freezer as well.
br> I want to say that I was a little skeptical on the realism of the decoy when I purchased it - at least to a deer. However, as I sat in my tree stand the first evening, I was amazed that exactly how real it really looked. Just simply staring at the decoy for 10 - 20 seconds, you would swear that you were watching a deer - obviously the two bucks thought the same. It should get even better as we approach the rut. Thanks.
